Meet Philip Marlowe (Graham Percy), the quintessential hard-boiled private detective made famous by Raymond Chandler and brought to the Granville Island Stage by award-winning, Vancouver-based writer Aaron Bushkowsky. As he investigates the disappearance of Velma, “a blonde to make a bishop kick a hole in a stained-glass window,” he encounters all the usual suspects: a heartbroken ex-con named Moose (Beau Dixon), a greedy con-man (Anthony F. Ingram), and his wealthy target (Jamie Konchak), a washed-up, alcoholic lounge singer (Lucia Frangione), and a hardened police detective who’s happy to let Marlowe do all the heavy lifting (Stephen Hair). He also receives a little help from a young and beautiful aspiring detective (Emma Slipp). This cast of characters is sure to keep you guessing until the very end.
